Roberts Jewellers: Crafting Meaningful Pieces with Integrity and Innovation
Tucked away in Old Reynella, South Australia, Roberts Jewellers is a family-owned manufacturing jeweller built on craftsmanship, care and connection.
Established in July 2023, the business is owned by Craig and Kirsty Roberts and has quickly earned a reputation for quality workmanship and genuine, personalised service.
At Roberts Jewellers, everything happens in-house. From custom-designed pieces to remodelling, repairs and restorations, every item is carefully crafted or restored on-site in their workshop. With a dedicated team of five, including three skilled jewellers, the business blends traditional jewellery-making techniques with modern design to create pieces that are not only beautiful, but deeply meaningful.
“Our focus has always been on excellence in our craft and building real relationships with our clients” Craig explains. “Jewellery often marks important moments in people’s lives, and we take that responsibility seriously.”
Embracing Digital with Support
Like many small business owners, Craig and Kirsty found it challenging to juggle day-to-day operations with the growing demands of digital marketing. This led them to join the Digital Solutions Program through Adelaide Business Hub.
“With limited time and not having grown up with social media, it felt overwhelming” Craig says. “We knew we needed guidance to better understand how to manage our online presence and use digital tools effectively.”
Before joining the program, their biggest challenge was not knowing what worked digitally, or how to apply it without spending countless hours researching.
Shifting from Catalogue to Connection
Through workshops, mentoring and webinars, one key takeaway stood out: social media should be social. While Roberts Jewellers already had strong visual content showcasing their work, they learned the importance of speaking directly to their audience, highlighting the benefits of choosing a local, manufacturing jeweller, and building connection rather than simply posting a catalogue of products.
Although they are only just beginning to implement their new strategies, the impact is already visible. A recent post about rising gold prices prompted several customers to visit the store, mentioning they had seen the information online, a clear sign that thoughtful, relevant content resonates.
Looking Ahead
Fresh from their Digital Solutions mentoring, Craig is brimming with ideas and enthusiasm. “We’ve got so many new strategies to try, and I can’t wait to get started” he says.
For other businesses considering the program, Craig’s advice is simple: do it.
“When you’re in business, you’re focused on your trade, not necessarily marketing. Having someone guide you through the digital side gives you clarity, confidence and direction in an area that can otherwise feel overwhelming. It’s invaluable.”
With a strong foundation of skill, integrity and now growing digital confidence, Roberts Jewellers is well positioned to continue crafting meaningful pieces, and meaningful connections, for years to come.
