Kenny’s at Churchill: Redefining Fast Food in South Australia
When you think of fast food, “healthy” isn’t usually the first word that comes to mind. But at Kenny’s at Churchill, owners Kristina and Tom Noicos are changing that perception, one crispy, golden piece of chicken at a time.
Originally launched on Hindley Street in 2023, Kenny’s quickly gained a reputation for serving up delicious food that doesn’t compromise on quality or health. In 2024, the siblings made the move to Churchill Centre in Kilburn, offering customers a more accessible location with plenty of parking. Now with a team of more than 15 staff, they’re on a mission to spread the word: fast food can be both healthy and delicious!
What sets Kenny’s apart is its commitment to clean ingredients. The entire menu, featuring tallow-fried chicken, hot chips, and stacked burgers, is completely gluten-free, dairy-free, and free from seed oils. It’s comfort food reimagined for today’s health-conscious eaters.
“Our inspiration has always been to give people access to healthy and delicious fast food,” Kristina shares. “We wanted to prove that you can still enjoy burgers and fried chicken without the nasties.”
Growing with the Women in Business Foundations Program
As part of their business journey, Kristina joined the Women in Business Foundations Program to sharpen her skills in strategy, hiring, and market positioning.
“Sarah Howell from Define Success Coaching, the mentor I worked with, had extensive experience running restaurants and gave us invaluable insights into menu design, staffing, and marketing,” Kristina explains. “Because of this, we were able to launch new products with confidence and build a stronger, more capable team.”
The program also helped the Kenny’s team refine their operations. From tackling menu pain points to building a foundation of skilled staff, Kristina says the program has been transformative.
Her advice to other local businesses? “Absolutely give it a go. There’s nothing more valuable than learning directly from an expert in your field, it gives you confidence and clarity to grow.”
