Specialising in walking tours of Adelaide's CBD and Port Adelaide, Flamboyance Tours offers a wide variety of experiences, each centred around sharing the city's stories. Inspiration Behind the Journey

Katina’s passion for storytelling and travel was born from her experiences as a tour guide in Europe, where she worked for three summers before deciding to bring her skills back to her hometown. Realising there was an opportunity to fill a gap in Adelaide’s tourism market, she set out to create a unique, immersive platform for sharing the city’s stories—thus, Flamboyance Tours was born.

Growing Stronger with Women in Business Foundations Program

To support her growing business, Katina joined the Women in Business Foundations Program offered through Adelaide Business Hub. She learned about the opportunity from Tourism Accelerator and saw it as the perfect way to enhance her professional skills and take Flamboyance Tours to the next level.

Before joining the program, Katina faced challenges in spreading awareness of her tours and lacked a clear social media strategy. The Women in Business Foundations Program provided her with crucial tools, from building a solid marketing plan to learning how to better communicate her business’s story. As Katina shared, “I’ve learned to have a solid plan for my marketing strategy, to always revisit it, and to be confident with the story I tell to really showcase what my business is about!”

This newfound marketing knowledge has already borne fruit. By incorporating video testimonials from satisfied guests into her social media strategy, Katina has seen a significant boost in engagement. The program has helped her cultivate a more loyal social media following, which is key to building brand reputation and attracting new customers.
